~ About the Steadfast Bloodline ~
In order to tell the story of the Steadfast Bloodline we have to first give the history of the Dogmen and Staffords that came before it. In 1959 Joe Ordays and Al Brown acquired littermate Staffordshire Bull Terriers from working lines in Ireland. (Shanty of Dublin and Arrogant Devil.) Pete Sparks, Joe Ordays, and Al Brown owned a number of working Staffordshire Bull Terriers they imported to the USA. Almost all specifically from Ireland. Sparks Rocket was one of the most influential in the foundation stock. Each man played a big part but Joe Ordays argumentatively made the biggest impact on the working bloodline in the USA. Even towards the end of his life he owned SBTs. The last being Ordays Rusty littermate to Dynamite Ethal Waters who plays a very big part in the Steadfast Staffords. Ordays also had Arrogant Resistance, Arrogant Devil, Ordays Leo, Ryan's Jasper, Ordays Bambi, Ordays Battling Beauty, Lady Ordays, as well as others who all are behind our bloodline. We acquired the last and what we believed we have the best representations of the Ordays Bloodline and began our selection of carrying on the True to type working form of the breed. Our bloodline is made up of the best working Irish bloodlines to ever step foot into the United States. We wouldn't have been able to accomplish this without the help of Steve Stone founder of the SBTs in the US, Intrepid Staffords Ken Hodgins, Dry Branch Kennels Nicky Tompkins, Dynamite Staffords Stan Thorn and Ricky B.
